Easter Cross

On Easter Sunday morning Rev. Sharon and Bonnie Grundy put our large wooden cross in its stand out in front of the church, near the sidewalk on Ridgewood Drive. Florists' wire was wound around it. Bonnie brought two buckets of greenery and sprigs of spring colour from their garden and put them near the cross. A small sign invited passersby to 'decorate' the cross with the fresh blooms in the buckets. We hoped to engage the community and it worked! Doesn't the cross look just lovely?! Perhaps this will become an Easter tradition for St. Catherine's!
