God who is pure LOVE,
We give you thanks
for the gift of Christ,
who comes among us with humility.
We ask your forgiveness
for our lust for power,
and for wanting our own way.
We ask you to heal our fearful hearts
For our distrust of your grace.
We ask you to give us faith
For deep trust in the life that flows from dying.
