We invite you to consider compassion. Compassion means suffering with or suffering for another. When we feel compassion for another whose story, in some way, resonates with our own. We might say: “I understand where you’re coming from”
But what if we can’t relate to another? What if there is a chasm between us? What then? The Gospel reading provokes this question.
