Sunday School: What Does Love Look Like?

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Sunday School teacher Shaunti asked her students what does love look like and here are some of their answers to this wonderful question:

"What does love look like at home?"

"Love from my cats."

"Love from my dog and garden."

"Warm hearts around the table."

"Saying thank you."

"What does love look like at school?"

"Love from others."

"Acceptance."

"Inclusivity."

"Learning everyday."

"Kindness to teachers and everyone."

"What does love look like at church?"

"Community."

"Calm presence of God."

"Friends and hugs."

"Going every week."

Students' innocent and genuine understanding of love serves as a reminder to us all of the simple yet profound ways in which we can express love in our lives.
