The Season of Creation, is an emerging liturgical observance celebrated by Christians around the world as a time for renewing, repairing and restoring our relationship to God, one another, and all of creation. It began in 1989 with leadership from the Orthodox church and the World Council of Churches. St. Catherine’s will honor the season in Sunday worship between September 1st and October 6th, drawing resources from Rev. Laurel’s ministry Salal + Cedar Watershed Discipleship Community and the Season of Creation Celebration Guide for Episcopal Parishes. The symbol of the Season of Creation is a blossoming tree.
