Please sign up for this event indicating if you are able to help set up tables, provide sweets or clean up after the festivities:
We gather to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. She has been the reigning monarch for 70 years of the United Kingdom, Canada and her other realms. So dust off your fascinators and gloves, ladies, and gentlemen-hunt out your most patriotic tie and come appropriately attired for the festivities!
We hope it will be a fine day and we can gather outside to celebrate. Tables will be set up either there or in the MP Room if the weather isn't agreeable. We will have a light lunch of sandwiches and sweet treats. As that is the weekend of the nationwide festivities in the UK, we will have coverage aired on our screen in the church, so we can move in and out of there as we wish.
There will be prizes for the best hat and tie!
This is meant to be a fun event so there will be no 'agenda', but a little bird has informed us that there will be a planting of an appropriate addition to our church gardens in Queen Elizabeth's honour.
The only help we are asking for is to help move tables and chairs outside after church if the weather is nice. Tea will be served in appropriate cups and saucers. Pinkies out, everyone!!!
