Behind the Scenes: The Craftsmanship of ICS Furniture

In September, Gordon and Linda were in Ireland and visited the small family owned company who made our new church chairs.  Gordon got to know the owners and staff at ICS Furniture after many emails and calls to discuss the making and shipping of our chairs in 2022. 

Their website https://icsfurniture.com/ has many beautiful church photos including the cover photo of St John’s Episcopal Cathedral in New York City which chose the same chairs as St Catherine’s.   ICS Furniture was asked to design a special chair for Pope Francis on his recent visit to Ireland.  It is the three legged chair with the cross and the lamb on the back.   

The owner was very excited that we came by to see his shop in Leitrim and gave us a tour of the factory.  He rarely gets to meet customers from outside Ireland.  It was fun to connect with the people who made the chairs we sit on each Sunday.
